The
Hardy Plant Society exists to stimulate
interest in growing hardy herbaceous plants.
This international Society, formed in 1957,
provides its members with information concerning the wealth of plants found in
our gardens, how to grow them to best advantage and where they may be obtained.
Membership of the Hardy Plant Society entitles
one to join any of the regional or specialised groups within the society.
The Hertfordshire Group was formed in 1989.
The membership, of about 150, covers a wide age range.
It is a lively and friendly group whose members come from all walks of life and
together they possess a wide knowledge of perennial plants which they are eager
to share with others.
